This project, developed by Ecoprod from a Eurimages initiative (Council of Europe), aims to provide film professionals with the necessary knowledge and tools to implement more sustainable practices in their productions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-a-successful-launch-in-berlin\"><strong>A successful launch in Berlin<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The launch event, organized as a part of the <strong>European Film Market<\/strong>, brought together industry professionals for a presentation by <strong>Adrien Roche<\/strong> et <strong>Alissa Aubenque<\/strong>. This event was a great opportunity to introduce the stakes of training professionals to sustainable production, as well as to unveil StepUP\u2019s main features.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the various speakers, <strong>Els Hendrix<\/strong> and <strong>Susan Newman Baudais<\/strong> emphasized the importance of such a platform, while <strong>Ludovica Chiarini and Gregor Stitzl<\/strong> highlighted the specific challenges of <strong>international co-productions<\/strong> as well as the importance of encouraging a collaborative approach to succeed in the transition towards a greener film industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-stepup-a-key-resource-for-sustainable-production-nbsp\"><strong>StepUP : a key resource for sustainable production&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Tailored to answer the needs of professionals regardless of their level of expertise, <strong>StepUP <\/strong>has three main training approaches:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>An international resource center <\/strong>to better understand the practices and applicable regulations around the globe.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A free e-learning course, <\/strong>funded by Eurimages (Council of Europe), which offers an introduction to the fundamentals of sustainable production.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>An advanced course <\/strong>intended for <strong>producers, funds, and film commissions<\/strong>, with a particular focus on international co-productions.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Accessible to all, StepUP aims to standardise access to green production knowledge and to foster a wider implementation of green practices within the film industry.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For those who were unable to attend the launch event in Berlin last week, we will host an <strong>introduction webinar<\/strong> on <strong>March 5th 2025<\/strong>.
