The competition is open to feature films presented as part of the Cannes Film Festival \u2014 across all selections. The award will be presented on Friday, May 16 in Cannes.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because it conveys messages and shapes collective imagination, the film and audiovisual industry bears a particular responsibility in raising environmental awareness. It must therefore lead by example in its production and creative methods. In France and around the world, industry professionals are seizing this challenge and implementing bold green production strategies \u2014 addressing issues of energy use, biodiversity preservation, circular economy, and waste management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This commitment reflects into concrete action: crew training in sustainable production practices, bans on private jets, sustainable-design of sets, and the provision of organic, locally sourced, seasonal catering, to name a few. These environmental efforts are embedded at every stage of production \u2014 from scriptwriting and pre-production to post-production. Best practices are multiplying, and green production is proving to be an endless source of creativity. In recent years, this momentum has grown significantly, supported by ambitious public policies such as the CNC\u2019s <em>Plan Action!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For over 15 years, Ecoprod has been supporting the ecological transition of the film and audiovisual industries, witnessing first-hand the increasing commitment of professionals. Today, it is essential to celebrate that commitment through the Ecoprod Award.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-a-prestigious-jury-for-a-purpose-driven-award\"><strong>A prestigious jury for a purpose-driven award<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>To mark this exceptional event, the Ecoprod team has assembled an equally exceptional jury:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Carine Tardieu, Screenwriter and Director, Jury President \u2013 Ecoprod Award<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After studying film in Paris, where she was born and raised, Carine Tardieu worked as an assistant director before directing two short films that earned multiple awards at international festivals. She later turned to television as a screenwriter, before co-writing and directing her first feature <em>La t\u00eate de maman<\/em> (2007). Her subsequent films include <em>Du vent dans mes mollets<\/em> (2012), <em>\u00d4tez-moi d\u2019un doute<\/em> (Directors\u2019 Fortnight \/ Cannes 2017), <em>Les jeunes amants<\/em> (2021), and <em>L\u2019attachement<\/em> (Orizzonti \u2013 Venice Film Festival 2024).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Maurice Barth\u00e9lemy, Director, Screenwriter, and Actor<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maurice Barth\u00e9lemy rose to prominence as a member of the comedy troupe <em>Les Robins des Bois<\/em>. Since the late 1990s, he has pursued a solo career as a screenwriter and director, working across drama (<em>Papa<\/em>, 2005) and comedy (<em>Low Cost<\/em>, 2011; <em>Les Ex<\/em>, 2017). In 2024, he directed <em>Tout le bleu du ciel<\/em> for TF1 and Netflix, an adaptation of M\u00e9lissa Da Costa\u2019s bestselling novel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ad\u00e9la\u00efde Charlier, Climate Justice Activist<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At just 24 years old, Ad\u00e9la\u00efde Charlier is a leading climate justice activist. She co-founded Youth for Climate BE and The Bridge, an organization connecting youth with policymakers through environmental campaigns. She is also the co-author of <em>Quel monde pour demain<\/em>, an intergenerational dialogue on climate (\u00c9ditions Luc Pire, 2021). A graduate of the College of Europe, she served as a special adviser to former European Commission Executive Vice President Frans Timmermans on the Green Deal. In 2019, she interned at the European Parliament, focusing on the EU\u2019s environmental policies. Her passion for climate justice deepened following a trip to the Amazon that same year, where she witnessed firsthand the intersection of climate change and human rights. Ad\u00e9la\u00efde has participated in major global climate events such as <em>Sail to the COP<\/em> and COP26. She is also a co-author of an influential open letter, alongside fellow climate activists including Greta Thunberg, which led to high-level meetings with world leaders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00c9milie Kovacs, Editor-in-Chief, The Good<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A journalist for 15 years, \u00c9milie Kovacs specializes in sustainable development and responsible economics. She is a frequent speaker at environmental transition conferences (Natixis, Cosmetic Valley, Somfy, State Communications Seminar, L&#8217;Or\u00e9al, ISEG COM, Sciences Po, VivaTech, La Poste, the 103rd Congress of Agricultural Mutualism and Cooperation\u2026). She also appears regularly on radio (France Info) and television (BFM Business, B Smart) and offers strategic insight both in France and abroad (Freemavens, Marie Claire Group, AXA\u2026).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mathieu Thill,  Green Production Manager and Trainer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mathieu began his career as a production manager in 2006. After the COVID-19 pandemic, production director Alain l\u2019\u00c9veill\u00e9 encouraged him to explore sustainability \u2014 a turning point in his career. He became responsible for environmental coordination on sets, combining his professional expertise with a personal commitment to nature and sustainability. In 2024, his green production work on <em>Le Roman de Jim<\/em> earned the film the Ecoprod Award at Cannes, and helped the series <em>Alex Hugo<\/em> earn a three-star Ecoprod Label. In 2025, he expands his focus to include gender parity and inclusion on film sets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>G\u00e9raldine Toitot, Production Administrator and Impact Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before joining Cin\u00e9france Studios in 2020, G\u00e9raldine worked on numerous films alongside directors such as C\u00e9dric Klapisch, Philippe Le Guay, Patrice Leconte, Anne Le Ny, Philippe de Chauveron, Pierre-Fran\u00e7ois Martin-Laval, Elia Suleiman, and M\u00e9lanie Laurent. She also worked in live performance, managing the International Radio France Festival and the Montpellier Danse Festival, and collaborated on opera productions. Long committed to environmental issues, G\u00e9raldine now leads Cin\u00e9france Studios\u2019 green production strategy.<em>  <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During deliberations, the jury will pay particular attention to measures taken to reduce carbon emissions, manage energy consumption, protect biodiversity, reduce waste, and promote circular economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The competition is open to feature films presented at the Cannes Film Festival \u2014 across all selections.
