Synopsis: Marie Antoinette left Austria at the age of 14 to marry Louis XVI, still immature and ill-prepared for the strict constraints of the French court. Under intense pressure to produce an heir, it took her seven years to consummate her marriage. Over time, she grew in confidence, establishing herself as an influential figure and a fashion icon, transforming Versailles in her own image – one that was freer and more assertive.
