Ecoprod is the leading initiative on sustainable film production in France, promoting and highlighting films and crews working towards reducing the environmental footprint of the advertising, film and TV industry. Ecoprod is a non-profit organization created in 2009.
Our mission is to change our productions for a better industry, and to foster collaboration among stakeholders in the TV, film and advertising industry by engaging them in sustainable production practices.

The French film industry emits 1.7 million tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere annually (source: Ecoprod study) and contributes significantly to waste and pollution. As a powerful medium for storytelling and shaping public perception, the industry bears a unique responsibility to promote ecological awareness. By adopting sustainable practices both operationally and creatively, it has the opportunity—and obligation—to set a strong example for environmental leadership.
