The number of applications for the Ecoprod Award doubled from 9 in 2024 to 18 in 2025!
“We are thrilled to see a record number of applications for the Ecoprod Award this year. Its shows the growing commitment of many film professionals to sustainable filmmaking”, — Pervenche Beurier, Executive Director of Ecoprod.
This year, among the films presented at the Cannes Film Festival (across all selections), 18 films have applied for the Ecoprod Award.
The Ecoprod Award jury, chaired by Carine Tardieu, Maurice Barthélemy, Adélaïde Charlier, Émilie Kovacs, Mathieu Thill, and Géraldine Toitot, will honor the feature film that stands out for the ambition of its green production strategy. During deliberations, the jury will pay particular attention to the measures taken to limit carbon emissions, manage energy consumption, protect biodiversity, reduce waste, and promote the circular economy.
The goal? To shine a light on the teams committed to reducing the environmental impact of their films, and to show that artistic ambition and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.
