Cofiloisirs Announces €500,000 in Financial Support for Productions that have received the Ecoprod Label

Two new financial incentives have been presented at the Cannes Film Festival to support productions in their sustainability journey. In addition to the “Prime RSE+” announced by the national film fund CNC, Cofiloisirs launched a new large-scale initiative that will encourage more socially and environmentally responsible practices in the film and TV industry.

A Dedicated Fund for Green Production

At the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, Cofiloisirs1, a subsidiary of BNP Paribas, announced the creation of a major financial support mechanism: a €500,000 fund to reward projects engaged in sustainable production practices.

Each year, five Cofiloisirs-financed projects that have been certified with the Ecoprod Label will receive a €20,000 bonus. The bonus will be allocated to the five highest-scoring feature films or series.

This initiative, which will run for the next 5 years, aims to support and highlight the most ambitious efforts to reduce environmental impact in audiovisual production.

A Scheme Based on the Ecoprod Label

This new mechanism is built entirely around the Ecoprod Label2, the French certification for sustainable film and TV production, developed with the support of ADEME3 and audited by the independent body AFNOR Certification4. The Ecoprod Label lists 85 actions to help productions reduce their environmental impact—from pre-production to post-production.

The first productions that will be granted the bonus will be announced in early 2026.

In Line with the CNC’s Prime RSE+

This new initiative complements the recently announced Prime RSE+ from the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée (CNC), France’s national film fund5.

Starting in 2026, the CNC will award a €28,000 bonus to live-action productions that meet Level 2 of the AFNOR SPEC 2308, the national standard for sustainable film and TV production, on which the Ecoprod Label is fully aligned.

With this bonus Cofiloisirs reinforces the overall ecosystem of support available to productions, bridging public policy and private financing to accelerate the industry’s ecological transformation.

Ecoprod Supports the Industry’s Transition

Ecoprod welcomes this bold, structural initiative and continues to stand alongside producers, institutions, broadcasters, and financiers to make the ecological transition of the audiovisual sector a reality.

This new financial support recognizes the work already done by committed productions and sends a strong message to the entire industry: green production is no longer optional—it’s a chance to reimagine how we create.
